Tripadvisor, the largest travel community platform has awarded Mallorca as the best island of Spain, the second best of Europe just behind Santorini and 6th best worldwide! This choice has been made via “travellers choice”, which means it reflects the opinion of people who have travelled to Mallorca and the other islands. With holiday destinations like Menorca, Ibiza, Tenerife or Formentera, it comes to no surprise that Spain has listed 10 winners with 4 of them being the Balearic Islands.
Most travellers enjoyed the Cuevas del Drach, the dragon caves in Puerto Cristo, which quite frankly are incredibly impressive, La Calobra with it’s serpentine path which ends up in a turqoise bay with huge rocks on the sides, Soller with the historic train and the beautiful fishing port and of course Palma, the capital of Mallorca. The cathedral and Bellver Castle have been the most popular sights, rightfully so.
